What's the difference between an ordinary filling and a CEREC restoration?
Expand
CEREC restorations make your tooth look totally natural; nobody but you will know your tooth was filled! Another advantage is that unlike silver fillings which contain mercury, CEREC restorations are made from porcelain, which is totally metal-free. Other advantages include biocompatibility, resistance to plaque-which can lead to gum disease and tooth loss-and increased strength. CEREC restorations are so precise, they actually bond to your tooth and return it to its original strength. Mercury fillings corrode and have a tendency to leak.
